Ralph Harry Harris of Burgess Hill, West Sussex passed away peacefully on the 16th May 2023 aged 86 at the Princess Royal Hospital Haywards Heath, West Sussex, surrounded by his family. 
 
Ralph was born on the 12th February 1937 to Cecil Rolfe Harris and Ivy Annie Harris (nee Wiling) in Pinner Middlesex.
 
Ralph attended Pinner Wood Primary and Potter Street Secondary Schools and completed a printing apprenticeship in Uxbridge.
 
He worked as a printing compositor for Eden Fisher (Southend and London) and Daily Telegraph (Fleet Street and Canary Wharf)
 
Ralph was a member of the Natural Trust, Burgess Hill model railway Club, a life member of the Bluebell Railway and a lifelong fan of Chelsea Football Club.
 
Survived by Wife Valerie Harris (Nee Taylor), Son Stephen Harris and Daughter in-law Nichole Harris, Son David Harris and Daughter in-Law Louise Harris and
Sister Christine Pettit (Nee Harris) and Brother in-law Christopher Pettit, Grandchildren William, Sophia, Julia, Benjamin, Matthew, Theresa and Emma.
